Linear CEO Bill Beckeman retires, and Cannuscio and Kadis will lead the company

Linear Retail Properties CEO Bill Beckeman retired in June. The company has promoted Aubrey Cannuscio to chief investment officer and Joel Kadis to chief real estate officer. The pair will take over leadership of the company in Beckeman’s place and have been appointed to the company’s board. Each has been with the company since Beckeman founded it in 2003. Cannuscio will oversee acquisition and financing efforts, and Kadis will handle leasing, asset management, construction and development. Linear currently owns 88 retail properties.

During Cannuscio’s time at Linear thus far, the company acquired more than 100 retail properties in Eastern Massachusetts, Southern New Hampshire and Rhode Island. Previously, he was Win Properties vice president, responsible for financing, acquisition and disposition. He’s also served as asset manager for AEW Capital Management and real estate analyst for Capital Management Resources, a joint venture between AEW Capital Management and Secured Capital. He has a Master of Science in Real Estate Development from MIT, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of New Hampshire and a certificate in real estate finance from Boston University.

Before joining Linear, Kadis worked for Wellsford Commercial Properties as regional director of asset management and leasing, for Atlantic Retail Properties as vice president of portfolio investments, for Finard & Co. as asset manager and for Citicorp Real Estate as portfolio manager and assistant vice president. He holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance from New York University Stern School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Oberlin College.
